Have never overwintered Salvia. Most is still in bloom. Can I take cuttings from the blooming spikes? Could the roots be taken and tops cropped off? I have several I would like to make sure I have in spring. We have colder weather just days away. Thanks for any info.

Always looking for interesting plants for pollinators and food! Bonus points for highly, and pleasantly scented plants.
