How could your post have offended anyone, tx_flower_child?
I agree that the name would have to sound less biased. Vines should be good enough.
Maybe the sequence of the categories should change. Instead of starting out with Annuals, maybe the categories should start with the individual plants (Daylilies, Irises, Lilium, Roses, Dahlias, Hibiscuses, and whatever other single plants might be deemed to deserve a separate category), followed by Bulbs (with an intro specifying that the category includes corms, rhizomes, and tubers), Wildflowers and Native Plants, Orchids and Other Tropical Plants, Cacti and Succulents, Vines, and whatever other specific categories we choose to have, followed by "Other Annuals and Perennials." After that we could list Trees and Shrubs, Vegetables and Fruit, Containers, Landscape and Gardens (but possibly divided into two categories -- Scenic Landscapes and Private and Public Landscaping), Macros (with an intro explaining that these are extreme closeups, larger than life size), Wildlife and Plants, Miscellaneous.
Any other categories I'm missing?
