Zone 5 - Undisturbed short-story woodland. Moisture-retentive soil with plentiful humus. Plant is growing with a southeastern exposure.

The seed body reminds me of clematis, but I'm unfamiliar with the leaf form.
Vertically climbing habit.
I haven't yet seen the bloom on this plant, (unless this is the bloom);-)
