Interesting article.. have read in Old Farmer's Almanac " save as much old wood as possible; blooms on old growth" ..

Have a Kardynal Wysznski .. large and blooms twice a year... suggestions on pruning?
Right now it looks really sad. Support is a post that mailbox is on -- we inherited this with our home.
