@WillC Your advice is always appreciated. I will keep the juveniles in my windowsill until (hopefully mid May but like you said I might have to wait until June). You recommend light shade? So do you think that putting it under a very large oak tree might do? (Also I do have a large pot to put it in).

@ardesia, I also thought it might be better to have them in the ground (for winter mostly)...but maybe I should bring them indoors when they become dormant.
By the way just as a fun aside, I was looking for musa velutina plants but could not find any live plants so I bought 100 musa velutina seeds. So I'm going to be getting very experimental!
