For containers, I don't. The roots are more exposed to the cold and freezing temperatures in a container than they would be in the ground. That was why I was thinking of annuals.

I know many annuals grow quickly to create a screen. Vines like morning glories, cardinal climber or moonflowers and all will produce ample seeds for the next summer. Just a thought though.

Perhaps someone from your area can fill in the blanks with a perennial evergreen that will work.
