I use ceramic pie pans , old frying pans , big plant saucers , ceramic bowls in upside down tomato cages as many as I can maintain ,

which right now is a frying pan for drinking with wire fencing over it to keep them from splashing it all out every five seconds.

and the two tomato cage ceramic bowls one with a big rock and one without ,

and our waterfall fountain , running water is a definite draw to wildlife.

I definitely recommend a long handle soft bristle scrub brush for algae
and maybe a small fish net to scoop seeds and things out of otherwise clean water
the net is mainly for the fountain but I use it on birdbaths sometimes.
