After 6 years, 'Janet Craig Compacta' is making a new stem from below the soil line. It lives with a Ti plant (Cordyline fruticosa), ponytail palm (Beaucarnea recurvata,) some Coleus. This group needs to be repotted soon, it's drying every 2 days in this heat.
Some porch pots with Dracs & others.
'Hawaiian Sunshine' with Coleus, oyster plant, Begonias. I figured the others would need new homes by spring but interestingly, they are just leaning out of the front. I like this a lot, for now.
I've had the tallest Drac in this pic for about 25 years. I'm going to trim the tallest stem again today, it's bumping into the porch roof and not getting enough light up there, and when brought inside for winter, that would be even more dramatic.
The shorter trunk was trimmed last summer and has grown 2 stems to replace one.
At the base, before it splits into 2 main trunks, there is a new trunk starting.
Let's see those gorgeous Dracs out there!
