It is common for a dominant stem to grow faster and taller than the others. Light doesn't have much effect on that. I do suggest you prune back the dominant stem and keep pinching it back as new growth continues to re-emerge. As Gene said, it may or may not branch. But by continual pinching, you will keep that stem at that length until the others catch up.
