Tarev, Your agave looks like it would kill you if you fell on it. Sharp spines!
Baja, Looks like you have a few of those killer spines.
Also if de-pupped (removed) does it seem like the main plant does so much better and grows bigger?
Hamwild, I think you mean A. lophantha.

UPDATE:
Here's the old A. Victoriae Reginae. Very wet. Monday starts more rain so I will have to bring in.
