Plantsmylove said: I am a gardener in St paul MN that's zone 4. who would like to reach out and see if anyone in the deep south ( or pacific northwest) would grow a heirloom corn for me from baker creek. Its called Kulli corn, a dark incan corn used to make a cold drink like lemonate in both fermented and non fermented forms. i would split the harvest/ you would ship some of it to my address when ripe. and I would order the corn seed off baker creek pay for shipping and next year ship it to your address. I just live in a zone that cant grow this gem of an heirloom not a long enough growing season. you can save seed next year too if you like. Kulli corn was discovered by joe and patrick simcox biotanical explorers featured on rareseeds.com

If you get it in early enough and there is a long enough fall, you can grow it up here but not every year.
You would have to just do pretty much a crap-shoot and pray.
I have successfully grown 160 day corn in Minn twice and I have only tried four times.
