Jo Ann, your woodpile garden is so gorgeous in the summer, and I can sooooo relate to the changes that come with the seasons. Our entire front side of the house is stacked with wood (I kind of love that). DH Tony has been gathering wood for weeks. It always gives us comfort to know we have a lot of firewood... going into winter in the mountains of Colorado, it's just peace of mind. That, and I burn a lot of fires in the fireplace! We use the fireplace more than the heat.

My shade garden has of course had it's transformation as well, but I am learning to love it in all seasons. I'm trying to figure out how to sit out there with a fire in the firepit when there is 3 feet of snow, LOL!

I am so envious of your hostas... I have a few in the shade garden but they've not gotten huge like everyone elses. I need more, bigger hostas! Thanks for sharing!
