I agree. I used to have 2 in this pot, and one rotted despite being potted in about 80% grit and 20% soil. They are slightly more finicky than they'd seem, but over the past couple years I've learned that when it's hot, I can water them. When it's 70 or below, I just don't. Mine do shrink more than other cacti, which I think might be a stress signal but I'd rather have them under-watered than over-watered in my climate. They always recover from shrinking, but never recover from rotting. lol
