I think I have been growing this one since I got involved with this addiction, I mean hobby, since 1998. It is hardy in my zone 5 garden. It was one of the first ones I used in my hybridization efforts. I still grow one of the seedlings from it. The color is consistent regardless of the MD clay or Upstate NY soil. Having move it several times, it is presently growing in a neglected part of the garden and seems be taking everything in stride. It tends to bloom early for me.
