I almost lost an old ponytail to ants. I had to remove it from the pot, soaked it awhile in rain water with a dash of Dawn till the ants died or left, then re-potted it. New soil and cleaned pot good, plant doing fine now. I don't always worry about ants in my plants Big Grin but I could tell it was getting out of hand and plant was suffering.
