Last year I planted an experimental garden way out back just to see if any critters would destroy my plants. I set out sweet potato plants. The experiment was a complete success...every sweet potato plant was consumed. D'Oh!

This year my success is of the good kind. Hurray! This time I planted the sweet potatoes in a bed closer to the house and the deer did not touch the plants. That is a success I can actually eat and can share with my dogs (the chickens get to eat the sweet potato leaves). Thumbs up
