Isn't that what local farmer's markets are for? Although, they are so laden with gov fees, licenses and rules, you can't even do that anymore. I would suggest planting less okra and more corn, potatoes, peppers, squash or tomatoes. Maybe have each person in your neighborhood grow something different and then you all trade?
