Hello group!! Got some plumeria branches from LA area no leaves, just long sticks. Infested with spider mites: Washed with soapy H20, sprayed with rubbing alcohol. Cured for two wks. Used blk plastic qt. pot, cactus mix with handful of sphagnum moss. One stick per pot. Put in full sun against metal garage door, rotated daily. NO H20. Abt. 5 weeks notice pokey things on stem tips. LIFE! Increased h20 to 1cup x1 week. Those plumeria were so green and full of leaves, I was one proud gal. Mid Sept. Moved them into house, south facing window, still looking good. Dec. 1, moved then downstairs, low light & low table. Temp around 72 -75. Put 25 watt florescent light just above tallest plant. Timer set 12 on 12 off, continued water, 1/2 cup every two weeks. YIKES, leaves turned crispy brown, left with bare sticks!! Put in cooler room, low light, (thinking they need a rest period) SOS-this week I see leaf tips staring to pop out. Should I bring them out of the cooler room, give them light and start watering? ( in the cooler low light rm only about 6 weeks?) does it matter. They are still in the pots, I have not watered, Feel hard to the touch. Suggestions please!! Live in Northwestern corner of Montana near Glacier National Park, about 60 miles from Canada, zone 3, so they have to be a house plant. [email protected]
