Hello everyone,

I'm brand new to this forum and website. My Brother lurks somewhere here and he told me about this place.
I'm joining this website because me and my family have decided to build a farm on the property we have had for years. Currently, We have more chickens then we know what to do with and we plan to get 50+ or more for eggs and meat. My current objective is to produce, well, produce for the family and hopefully sell off enough to build more improvements for next year. I'm working with Heirloom seeds as the region I am in is well known to be a Organic Farmers worst nightmare. Which is good because I wholeheartedly did NOT want to organic farm even though... thats sorta what im doing. I plan to not use any pesticides and use our chickens as fertilizer along with a some form of ruths method. I chose Heirloom seeds as I wanted to stick away from hybrids as much as possible so that I could keep seeds year after year and know what to expect.

I will definitely be snooping around barnyard threads and heirloom threads. Already this site has helped me out and im not even 30 minutes into investigating! Hilarious!

So with that,
bye for now I tip my hat to you.
