A new addition to our fragrant plants are a couple of the small dianthus. They are in pots and now we don't have to worry about them being destroyed by moles or gophers. These pictures aren't great but the flowers are pretty and very fragrant. I have never mentioned that we have had dianthus "Firewitch" for years used as a ground cover in one small spot and we love it. It is budding now and is wonderfully fragrant when in full bloom. It also has the ability to do some repeat bloom in fall.

Dianthus--one of the Sunflor variety. Purchased at Walmart but no specific name. I found out the Sunflor dianthus has quite a lot of different varieties, hope to eventually add more.

Dianthus--no name of any kind, another Walmart purchase--it is a lovely color, dark reddish pink. My camera doesn't do justice to it.
