Hi there everyone.

I'm hoping someone with lots of tulip knowledge can help me.

For some years my family has had lots of different daffodils and tulips planted in our front garden. But there are some.of particular importance that I'm concerned about.

See, my dad's favorites that he planted were black parrot tulips and they were amazing! They are particularly important because we lost him 3.5 years ago.

About 3 years ago my mom hired a lawn service to cut the grass and weed the flower beds. What she got was a man that came in during bloom season for the daffodils and tulips with a weed eater and he carelessly cut down everything to the ground. 2 years ago she hired a different man and he properly weeded but didn't seem any signs of bulbs anywhere so we assumed they all died.

Now, the bulbs had already been in the ground for probably about 3 years before this happened.

The daffodils surprisingly started coming up to full bloom this year, but the tulips all we get are the leaves. last year they were barely up, but this year the leaves seem to be pretty healthy looking.

Is it possible that just the main bulb was killed, and we may see my dad's beloved black parrot tulips bloom again from splits off the original and they just haven't matured yet?

Thanks.for the help. any advice to get.them blooming again is welcome!
