If you want to be certain it roots, after they callous up, you can soak the cuttings for a few hours in a water and Super Thrive solution or even overnight if they are really dry. Dip the end in Clonex rooting gel, or rooting powder and stick in well draining soil and you've got it made. Oh, and do not water it for weeks or until you tug and there is resistance, meaning it has rooted.
