Welcome to the site! It would help if you added a geographic location to your profile. Tulips like a well drained location, the leaves do turn brown after they are done blooming. Being lazy, I would leave them, and if you want to be assured of the blooms next year, you could plant more this fall...the worse that could happen would be that you would have double the blooms.
