I have had good luck with planting Allysum around my daylilies. Not only does it smell great
but it attracts the pirate bug (Orius) to your garden and they have a great appetite for thrips.

Some say it should be white Allysum, but I plant all colors.

I've seen a difference in beds where it is planted and beds where it isn't, not proof, but evidence it works.
