Well Jan, there's your chance to find it & bring it indoors & let it stay cool & try out, an "experiment" !.
If it is almost "mature" enough, allow to sit on the table top & leave there until it just starts to shrink a little & then open up & carefully remove the seeds, before they get moldy... Air dry on a plate, for no more than half a day & then rinse clean, to try & disinfect.

Get a mix of peat moss, sand & perlite (plus some vermiculite, if you use that, too.) Then microwave the moistened starting mix, in a bowl just to "steam it". Then allow to cool off, completely. Throw all the mix , plus well rinsed off seeds ( that you'd gently & carefully extracted from the pod,) into a plastic zip baggy, with that seed starting mix or sow as usual, in a pot, except- indoors -out of the heat !

It's your opportunity, to try another method & see if they germinate faster than those completely mature, "dried out' seeds, done the other way, that wouldn't likely start to germinate & begin growing, until next year..
