Well Jeremy in JaxFlaGardener in Jacksonville, FL has almost a tree of this and it's very tolerant of whatever cold we have had up there. The zone is 8b/9a.
Mine down here at Lake Okeechobee got a little frost turning leaf edges silver, but is still pumping blooms. They smell best at dusk.
