Robin, I love them. I would plant more of them except for the fact that about 10 years ago we had an especially wet summer, and the peonies have been troubled with powdery mildew ever since. I combat it with Cornell U.'s formula. That's a spray made up of water, neem oil, baking soda and a few drops of dish detergent for wettbility. It works, as long as I can remember to keep spraying it at least every other week Unfortunately after the peonies have finished blooming, I tend to let the spraying regimin slide. Right now one is looking like a painter has sprayed it with white paint!
