I personally don't use the trigger style nozzle bc of my arthritis, so another option is to get a nozzle with a shower spray setting.
(As you can see, there are a bunch of other settings, too )
With this nozzle design it's easy to get a gentle shower spray for watering flower pots because the lever is designed to be set at any position between on and off....
.....and it stays at the pressure setting you choose without the need hold the lever in place.
I got this one at True Value Hardware. Menard's also sells a similar model.
