Monty you're making some good progress. Once you get them cleared with the weed wacker, you can cover them with black plastic, and that will kill any left over plants. You can leave the extra raised beds covered over winter, and by the next planting season they will be nice and clean and ready to plant with no extra work. If you have some well rotted compost, you can put a small layer on top and then wet it nicely, cover it, and the worms will work it into the soil and it will be great and weed free by next year. It's the lazy man's way of tilling. Rolling on the floor laughing
