That's really lovely. I've been thinking about trying a Leucothoe here. I'm not sure L. fontanesiana would be happy in the Coastal Plain, but perhaps L. populifolia would be?

I hope all of the babies survive; did you plant them all out, or did you keep one or two in a pot that could be protected in a shed, garage, or on a porch?
