Sorry I have been away.
I like to plant my birdnest into a large dog dish. remember to drill a hole or two in the bottom. The soil you use is very important. Use a fast draining mix. I use cactus 50% with pumice 50% works great. As stated, they don't like to be wet during the winter months and kept warm. The more yellow/white on them the warmer they like it.

And the above picture is Sansevieria Trifasciata Hahnii Marginated. But the one about that one is Sansevieria Trifasciata Gold Hahnii 'Favorite' , also my favorite.
