I'm looking to plant a hedgerow along the sidewalk in the front of my house. The front is west facing, so full sun and a medium loam soil. I'd like the hedge to be fairly short so that it doesn't block the house and it doesn't provide too much shade inside the yard. In the middle I plan to place a gate. My question is, what species would be best for a formal hedge in these conditions black Chokeberry, northern bush honeysuckle, Thimbleberry, or white snowberry?
