Each stem only adds new leaves on top so it is just a matter of time before it becomes leggy. The stems produce baby plants at the base, but they do not branch.

Any stem can be cut back to a height where you would like to see new growth emerge. The pruned off top sections can be rooted in water or in a small pot filled with a porous potting mix or even in the base of your existing plant.
