I figure a lot of people are dealing with strange out of the ordinary circumstances, and while there has been space on other threads to discuss what has been going on, I figure it might be fun to have a thread where we post pictures of plants, pets, or anything else that catches our fancy and may provide some diversion of some of the stuff that is going on all around us.

For me it was the first day where we have been told to work from home and self-isolate as much as possible, and while I got some work done, I also spent a lot of time talking to co-workers and students and post-docs in my research group about the situation and what is going on. So some non-work, non-COVID related stuff is certainly welcome.

So to start here a couple of pictures:

Since I am starting this in the Cactus and Succulents forum, I will start with a cactus. This is Echinocactus platyacanthus showing full on winter stress colors and some nice patterning around the top where ribs are splitting to form more ribs:

This is our dog Blink (a white german shepherd - lab mix) who only has one trick when there is food in the kitchen: sit pretty, but he does that very well:

I will try and add a few photos to this thread every day for the foreseeable future, please add whatever you can/want!

Stay healthy and safe!
It is what it is!
