Here is a dormant Hippeastrum bulb, cut in half, with top and bottom trimmed, showing the developing three blooms inside. The bulb was nearing the end of it's dormancy when dissected for some propagation experiments, and on an "end-of-season" clearance sale. It was just starting to show green growth at top of bulb, about at the point that I would consider beginning to water and bring it into the warmth and light if it was a bulb I would force.

-p.s. I feel compelled to say there was no pandemic at the time... now I certainly would not use up gloves (PPE) needed now in the healthcare industry!
