Is there a downloadable database, ideally software(for windows), that lets one see all the things they should see. That is, one can put in their plant type and all the info pops up with cross referencing to various other things(plants, diseases, minerals, etc).

The idea is a fully functional database for one's entire needs. I am new to gardening but I find the lack of proper information concentrated to be a bit frustrating. I'm dealing with some plants having problems and I would like to be able to find specific information quickly. Also about the ph, minerals, etc the plants need, and various other things. I don't like to hunt and peck wasting hours to find information ;/

I'd imagine that such a database must surely exist given how important food is and how much info there is about it. I have lots of books but I don't want to have to read a book to find out that yellow burned edges on the leafs of a tomato plant could be 3 diseases or due to certain mineral deficiencies where I am then one click away from finding out what those specific things are rather than having to read another book or search online and wade through all the careless information.

Is there any software like this out there? It doesn't have to have thousands of plants. I'm only interested in food producing plants, the main ones but the more the better.
