I live live in Los Angeles, and many years ago I used Epsom salt for my lawn and presto the grass became vibrant in growth and color. I was not sure if it was OK for use on rose bush. After I read
your advice, I was a happy camper.
I have a stubborn St. Josephs coat climbing rose tree. This is the 3rd year its grown maybe 3' and absolutely refuses to climb the pipe ladder straddles with wire. It had some growth at the end with some roses. To encourage growth I cut of all side growth with a few flowers, thinking now with all side growth removed it should use all its strength to climb upwards. Its been 2 weeks since I gave it " a haircut" and glory be, a tiny growth 1/2" is today visible.
I would greatly appreciate on any tips on how to encourage the plant to spurt upwards.
