I have never tried to plant a cutting that big. It doesn't look like it's had any leaves lately, how old is cutting. The thicker the branch the harder it is to get started in my experience. I would take 5 or 6 smaller branches and try those. Maybe someone else can offer you more advice. Good luck with it๐
