Thanks, AG. On Tv is a show about celebrities. This is the first time, well, almost, a friend asked me for a recipe! So this is my moment of fame! My cobbler was truly a "dump" version.
Sunday is fridge cleanout. So instead of leftover fruits and pie going to trash, I mixed it up and dumped it in the CrockPot! It's tasty enough for a 2nd helping, so glad I took the walk!

I think Lynda mentioned a CrockPot dessert cookbook and the peach cobbler dish and recipe research inspired me to heat up the crocks!

The 3 ingredient version is like the "dump" cakes my mom made in a 9x13 dish with canned fruit or pie filling as the bottom layer, topped with dry cake mix and butter cubes. My recipe said you can melt and drizzle butter, though they thought melted cubes made more buttery flavor! Adding spices or nuts gives extra touch!

I just noticed that when cooking these recipes, I need to keep an eye on the liquid because it gets soaked up with the cake mix, or the pie crust! Before I went on walk, mine started looking dry around edge. I remembered I had fruit juice/syrup left from the fruit salad and I gently poured it around the edge. Perfect after walking!

This is a different recipe from the website for apple cobbler that uses flour, milk and sugar instead of the cake mix.

Slow Cooker Apple Cobbler
(source: https://slowcookingperfected.c...)

Ingredients
Base
5 cups apples, large cubes
1 Tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp cinnamon, ground
½ tsp nutmeg, ground

Cake Mix

2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup sugar
1 & 1/4 cups milk
60g (2 oz) butter, melted
1 tsp salt
Instructions
In a bowl, mix the self-rising flour, sugar, milk, butter, and salt until combined. Try to avoid lumps by slowly mixing in the milk and butter.
Add the apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg in the slow cooker and mix.
Pour the cake mixture over the top of the apples.
Cook on low for 3-4 hours or until the cake is cooked and the apples are tender.
Serve & Enjoy.
Recipe Tips
As I mentioned above, try and use a stewing apple for the best result. However, any type of apple should work out fine.
You can use some tinned apple instead, but the base will be a lot gooier. This change will make it even easier to make this delicious slow cooked apple cobbler.
For a bit of extra flavor, you can add some nutmeg and cinnamon into the cake mix. This variation will give you a lovely spiced cake on the top of the tender apples.

AG, I know what you mean about having simple, easy to prepare and carry recipes!

Hubby was getting trash together when I came home from walk. He saw the empty pie box by area where we put boxes and cans for recycle. He asked if I ate the pie?
The tone in his voice and the expression on his face were priceless when I told him the pie was in the crockpot! You put the pie in the crockpot?!! I lifted the lid and showed him the cooked fruit! I think his facial expression was priceless! I didn't look him in the eye because I wouldn't have been able to stop laughing! Hilarious! Hilarious!
