The DG (2011) describes the plant which would be later known as zubb, in its description of sinkatana. The two plants are geographically distinct. Aloe zubb grows at higher altitude, is more likely to offset, and is smaller (leaves 10-15cm instead of 50-60cm, and more likely to be spotted). Its inflorescences are usually unbranched (not up to 6 branches). I do not have access to the 2015 publication of zubb in CactusWorld. There are apparently yellow and red flowered forms, and a hybrid between the two with orange flowers.
