I love freesias and have planted them here in Washington several times, with mixed results. I have planted mine in early spring, as well as in December. I haven't really followed what they've done; they didn't bloom for me again after the first time but I also might have just pulled them out...don't really recall.
I'd say if they're doing fine for you under the stated circumstances to go ahead and plant more!
