I just finished catching up on the lighten up, Francis thread, which sent me into uncontrollable fits of laughter, then I come on here and read Sally's post about the missing Turkey guts and started screaming laughter again! I remember that happened when I was a kid. My grandma removed the innards the day before TG to cook them and when she opened the little paper package all it contained was 4 hearts! Now that was a very weird Turkey! It so frustrated her that she sent my mom to the store for a package of chicken livers and gizzards! I stayed at home with her and she kept muttering under her breath about people that couldn't do their jobs and obviously needed a baby sitter in order to get them to work, etc. highly entertaining. Good thing she found out the day before; back in the dark ages stores were closed on Thanksgiving Day!
I ordered three gifts online at Walmart, yea! Only two more gifts to go! One is for a MG good friend, and I will be ordering her a jasmine and a night blooming cereus, she will get them when it's safe to ship. The other gift will be for my sick friend; I swear she is the pickiest person in the world; far worse than my mom was, and I agonized over her gift every year. A gift card won't do, she would be insulted. I still have time, I will just have to put on my thinking cap on this one. Happy Turkey Day, Y'all! 🦃🥧🍗😁
Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.
