The "other plants" are actually projects I'm working on but all kinds of irises, daylilies, daffodils, penstemon, dianthus, Alliums, asters, hardy cyclamen, hardy geraniums, ivies, Kniphofias, and Heleniums are major plantings/ breeding projects. These vary from 3-5 K seedlings / year with the irises and daylilies to hundreds of the others. I dabble in a few others like the Pacific NW sedums, yarrows, hostas (they were a former major emphasis) and Pulmonaria. When I moved to Oregon it was like moving to "gardening Heaven" as I could grow virtually anything. The daffodil, daylily and iris projects started in MS and have all progressed here in Oregon. The other perennials were things that I thought needed my tinkering. One of my friends described me as a "plant interior decorator" as I never see a plant as a finished product but rather as "something that needs a makeover". Every day from March to September I'm blooming new seedlings of something so each day is exciting. Those like Lynn, Cynda and Bev who have visited often can tell you of my madness.

I have terrible windows for houseplants but there are mainly Peperomias and a few gesneriads in the one good spot.

Kevin
