I even seen a problem for bulbs in the same Hemisphere. When ordering from England, were bulbs blooming in summer and sleeping in winter, has a problem with a local weather, were bulbs are green all year around, and blooming after the winter or in winter itself.

We have a very difficult weather to grow most of the plants, it can be up to 100 F (or sometimes even higher)in summer, with humidity ranging from 20 to 90% , and up to almost 40 F in winter, but again it can be even 80 F with low humidity in winter (like we have this week).
This summer was extremely hot and dry, with temperatures above 95-100F for a weeks in a raw, my amaryllises were loosing the leaves because of it in the summer (never happened before), and was almost no bulb increase in summer because of that.

P.S. sorry for my problematic English,
