All of these are Salvia farinacea varieties. This species does best in low humidity climates, and in those places where there distinct seasons (think snow). In warm damp areas, especially when there is not a true cold season to force them into dormancy they are prone to all sorts of foliar diseases and tend to be short lived. The suggested control regime for commercial growers call for frequent application if several disease control products to prevent these issues. If a plant is badly affected it may recover if cut back very hard, but generally once these set in the damage is done.
