Lynn,

It has a mother and father! Actually I had to look it up. It's 'Watermark King' X 'Borscht', so a sibling cross. Most of the siblings were purple but 'Red Zinger' is bright red. I have ~50 seedlings from selfing it and they're all red or red with green tips. 'Red Zinger' and one purple sibling were the biggest of the group and also the widest. I think this picks up on the maternal parent of 'Killer', that has very wide leaves. Both 'Waternark King' and 'Borscht' have wide leaves and 'Red Zinger' is more so.

We really don't have registry per se as the Sempervivum Society no longer exists. The listing by MCG would mean that it's '21 introduction as that's the first public offer.

I have a couple more coming out later this year but no names yet. These will be the first of the giant series. Can't imagine how big Melissa will get them!

Kevin
