I ran out of plant labels, so I used forks. They are much less money unless you buy a labeler and tags in bulk.

Just write the name of the plant on the relatively smooth side of the fork and stick it into the soil. I don't use spoons because of how it is just a big area of plastic and isn't as stable. I'd say these labels would only be teporary and you'd have to find actual labels in the future.
