Wow but 2020 was unkind to bearded iris here in North Carolina. It rained in record breaking amounts which broke the souls of my iris. They died in record numbers. So I dug up and potted a lot of them, and potted my new incoming iris too. Still lost some more but there are also many survivors that decided to hang on and have started to put up blooms.

The season started almost a month later than usual with my first bloom opening on April Fools Day, which seems appropriate for how foolish we can all become over our iris!

The bloom you ask, hoping I get to the pictures and stop jabbering, was......

Dragon's Den SDB (Chapman) looking glorious in the full sun. It is quite pale in the shade.
