Just saw these yesterday and after checking around, it seems to be one of the Cactus Longhorn Beetle species. They are eating on one prickly pear cactus, mostly the new growth. I went and checked the Cholla Cactus on the front slope of my property that is going to bloom soon...and thankfully, none of them found on that cactus. Should be really beautiful when that cholla blooms, so I didn't want anything to spoil that!

I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
Integrity can never be taken. It can only be given, and I wasn't going to give it up to these people. Gary Mowad
