@CassM I have an idea if you cannot find your memorial daylily - name your own.
There is a lady on Etsy (Carol Anderson) who sells the rights to name her seedlings. Quite pricey, but less than $200. Then she registers with that name (with you as co-registrant) and gives you the plant to grow. This way you could truly honor your son with his very own daylily, rather than using someone else's that just happens to have the similar name as your son.
